DC Comics is starting its Absolute Power event with Absolute Power: Ground Zero, in stores June 25th. Leading up to this, we have all heard rumors of the Absolute Comics line (first noted by Bleeding Cool) that is supposed to compete with Marvel’s Ultimate line. All signs are pointing towards some really big changes for DC following Absolute Power. Here are the facts we know:

• Absolute Power will last into October

• Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo's last Nightwing issue is issue #118 in stores September 18th

• Joshua Williamson's last Batman & Robin issue is issue #13 in stores September 11th

• Ram V's last Detective Comics issue is issue #1088 in stores September 25th

• Tini Howard's last Catwoman issue is issue #68 in stores September 18th

• Gail Simone and Rainbow Rowell will be finishing up their three issue stint on Action Comics with issue #1069 on September 25th

• Dan Mora will NOT be on a main arc for World's Finest for the first time since the series started

○ I have not confirmed that Mora will be off the book following issue #31

• There is not currently a Justice League book being published

So what this means is that there will be 5 DC books with new creative teams, two of which are flagship books in Detective Comics and Action Comics. I don't think it's out of the question that we might see Zdarsky finish on Batman soon as well (he has said he'll be on until 2025 but who knows when in 2025). Williamson and King will likely stay on Superman and Wonder Woman, respectively, as they have only recently started their runs. Furthermore, I anticipate that with all these creators being freed up, this is the perfect time for DC to bring back the Justice League.

Regardless of what happens, this might be an instance where we can actually say "The DC Universe will never be the same!".
