Comics with Dan Daily | Sonic the Hedgehog #84 - 02/06/2026

Sonic the Hedgehog #84 was released Wednesday, and I'm very happy with the direction Flynn and Stanley are taking it.

This is the first comic appearance of Sage and she goes on a trek with Sonic and Belle to find Metal Sonic - at the "request" of Robotnik. The banter is great, especially the tension between Belle and Sage. Sage doesn't pick up on anything, but Belle is salty the entire time, feeling like she's been replaced.

We still don't know who the coffin-carrying emerald collector is. But when Sonic and crew find Metal Sonic, he's been torn apart and rebuilt with what is presumably a camera eye. My biggest question is, who on Earth is powerful enough to do that to Metal Sonic? The design is awesome, and showing this new (or returning?) villain's power in this manner is great storytelling. I think this road to #100 is going to be a wild ride.
