Defenders of the Earth (1987) Preview

Mad Cave Studios will be re-releasing Defenders of the Earth, a 4 issue miniseries written by Stan Lee and Bob Harras under the Star Comics imprint of Marvel Comics in 1987.

Star Comics was an imprint established by Marvel in 1984 to promote children's TV shows and toys. Some other properties with series from Star Comics include The Muppets, The Masters of the Universe and more.

Mad Cave Studios has released preview pages for the upcoming re-release of this series, as seen below:

This re-release is being done ahead of a new Defenders of the Earth series, written by Dan DiDio with art by Jim Calafiore, being published in August by Mad Cave. The new series will follow a new Flash Gordon series, written by Jeremy Adams, with art by Will Conrad and Lee Loughridge, and letters by Taylor Esposito being published by Mad Cave in July.

The collected edition of the 1987 Defenders of the Earth series will be available June 19, 2024 from Mad Cave Studios. (Previews code APR241615)
